Ascot Park Hotel - Invercargill

we had a great stay at ascot park in a spacious one-bedroom unit. the kitchenette was well-equipped, and we appreciated the large lounge area. the bedroom was tastefully decorated, featuring a comfortable queen and single bed, along with a tv. the bathroom was roomy, offering a spa bath and separate shower. we enjoyed our meals at the on-site restaurant, where the staff were friendly and attentive. plus, the location was convenient, with easy access to nearby attractions.

It has a marvellous location as right beside a major roundabout.

It was well priced. This hotel was quiet in every respect, had pleasant staff with excellent manner. The idea to include coffee and tea making equipment, and refrigerators in the superior queen room was nice.

Well, the area was poor overall.

My experience was marred by some real issues. The jets in the spa bath sprayed water all over, soaking my outfit and towels, quite frustrating. The ladder for exiting the pool felt unstable and rickety, contributing to an uncomfortable atmosphere. I had hoped for a relaxing stay, but these details made it challenging to enjoy the amenities.

We loved the food in the Restaurant. Excellent.The room was very comfortable and very clean and warm.

I stayed in the refurbished room. I understand the project is not completed throughout the hotel but would encourage you to complete the project when you can.

I had a great weekend! The staff were super friendly and cute, making check-in a breeze. The room was clean and comfy, perfect for winding down after a busy day. Plus, the on-site restaurant served delicious meals at reasonable prices, and I loved that they offered a free shuttle to get into town easily. Everything you need is right there!

I did notice that the spa pool area could use a good clean-up. There were some damp marks on the floor and dirt in the corners that hadn’t been addressed. It was a bit disappointing given how nice the rest of the facilities were. Just a little attention to detail would go a long way!

The breakfast was really yummy and wonderful except for the breads and had a huge variety of food. The room was recently refurbished, great modern and with great facilities. The experience was real good, would stay here again.

The hotel is gorgeous, has delightful views and unbeatable location next to Invercargill, great place and food store & town and the Ascot sports bar: )

review: The indoor swimming pool was a lovely retreat, though some equipment could use updates for better functionality. Clean, warm, comfortable rooms, husband loved watching the sky tv in bed!

Only thing was people stomping down the corridor at 7am!

Have stayed there before and enjoyed it, and this time was staying there because the function I was attending was held at the Ascot.

a pleasant stay with a few quirks

The room was amazing! It was large, well set out, and impeccably clean. The spa bath provided a wonderful relaxation experience. The young woman at the restaurant provided really good service, being very professional and attentive!

The exiting ladder for the pool felt unstable, which could be improved.

The staff were always accessible, and helpful.

As I was on my own, the hotel came as very expensive, and I was not told that it did not do single rooms, which were what I asked for.
